Celebrating Multicultural Identity Through Flowers is a 2-hour workshop for the Asian diaspora. Aiyana of Tiger Blossom (@tigerblossomstudio) and Jen of Asians In Bloom (@asians.in.bloom) will be leading a hands-on and reflective experience where we will honor the gifts we have carried from our cultures. Come join us on October 17, 2026 1-3pm at Little Saigon Creative in Seattle, WA!
This unique workshop will blend Ikebana (Japanese art of floral arrangement), thoughtful prompts, and group discussion. Aiyana will guide us in unlocking the healing power of flowers while Jen will guide us in celebrating the greatest gifts we have gained from being multicultural. They have both gone through their own beautiful journey of connecting more to their Asian heritage and embracing all parts of themselves, so they were inspired to create a safe space for other people to explore and honor this side of themselves.
Each attendee will leave the workshop with the knowledge of creating their own floral arrangements at home, a greater sense of appreciation for their multicultural identity, and new connections who have a shared background of navigating between cultures. No prior experience in Ikebana is needed and all materials will be provided. You can choose between 2 ticket prices:
Reminder to pet owners: certain flowers can be toxic to pets, so you may need to be careful where you place your floral arrangement at home.

Jen is a second-generation Taiwanese American who started Asians In Bloom as a space to support self-discovery, creative exploration, and belonging for the Asian diaspora. On her IG, she shares her experiences embracing her non-linear path despite cultural expectations and family pressures.
Jen organizes community building events and recently hosted the Speed Friending for AAPI Women event at Anh Ơi Bake Shop that focused on deeper conversations. She also started a podcast that highlights voices from the multicultural community around honoring their roots while redefining success on their own terms.
AIYANA KYOKO
Creator of Tiger Blossom Studio
Certified Ikebana Instructor
Aiyana is part Japanese, Sansei (third-generation Japanese). She started this Ikebana journey to reconnect with her Grandma Kyoko who was a big part of her life and passed on a few years ago. She found her Ikebana teacher who teaches the same school of Ikebana her grandma studied with, The Ohara School of Japan.
Along this journey Aiyana has discovered much healing and inspiration with the flowers. She created a curriculum at Tiger Blossom Studio that is a mixture of mindfulness and influences of Ikebana to share what she has discovered along the path in hopes that every student will discover their own healing, power, inspiration and creativity with the botanics.
